Huh What is a Message Board?  Huh

Message boards (sometimes called discussion boards, bulletin boards or online forums) are places on the Internet where people can go to ask questions, find answers, and share their own thoughts and opinions, photos, etc.  This message board has been created so members of the Buck Family can easily communicate with each other before and after the 2008 reunion.  Cool

Messages that are put on the message boards are called "posts". To read the posts you simply click on the topic of your choice and scroll down the list of subjects.

Anyone can read the message board but in order to ask a question or post a comment, you must first register.  Look for a link to "Register" near the top of the message board. You will be led through the simple process of choosing a user name and password.  You will receive an e-mail to confirm that your account has been created, and then you will be able to post new messages and replies on the board.

Simply click on "Login" on your next visit to the message board and fill in your username and password. If you want to add your comments to a discussion that is already underway, just navigate to that discussion, click on "Reply" and add your comments.  To post a new message, click on "Post New". Fill in a title for the discussion you wish to start, type your comments in the box, and click on "Post". Within seconds your post will appear on the message board for others to see and comment on.

If you are starting a new discussion, it is important to give your first comment a meaningful title. Remember that whatever you type as the title is what others will see on the message board.

No matter where you are on the message board, you can always get back to the main page where you started by clicking on the "Home" button near the top of the page.  To return to the Buck Family Reunion website, click on the Buck Family Reunion logo at the top of the page.

Keep  in mind when posting messages that message boards are public and can be viewed by anyone.

One last note - when posting a message, click on the small triangle next to "additional options" to be able to include a picture with your post or to turn on extra features, such as getting notifications of replies to the topic.
